Knowledge Standards for Appropriately Trained Property Transportation Coordinators

Knowledge skills that indicate appropriately trained personnel.
Property Transportation Coordinator should be knowledgeable about:
- Metro’s SmarTrip Card Program
- CommuterPage.com and how to access transportation information including how to use WMATA’s online Trip Planner
- Transportation literature appropriate to their building (in their kiosk) and how to order and re-stock
- Bike routes in proximity to their building and procedures for people to access bike facilities in the building including racks, lockers and showers
- ART and Metrobus routes in proximity
- STAR and transportation programs for persons with disabilities including familiarity with any designated paratransit pickup points near the building (some required)
- Air Quality Action Day Participation Knowledge
- How to get to the nearest Metrorail Station
- Where the nearest Flexcar and Zipcar spaces and how people can join
- Local taxi companies and how to contact and any taxi stands in the area Office
- Carpool/vanpool policy for building and how people can register
- Commuter Connections rideshare matching service and Guaranteed Ride Home
- General knowledge of Employer Tax-Free Transit/Vanpool benefits
- Where to send people for more information about such employer programs as Telework, Alternative Work Schedules and more at ATP
