How to View Current Bus Arrival Times on Wireless Devices

2. Choose the Transit Schedules option from the main menu. The actual screens and options you see will depend on your device. A Nokia cell phone is shown here.

(On some devices you will then have a choice of "Current Schedule Times" and "View or Download Full Schedules." Select Current Schedule Times.)

3. Choose whether you want to browse by the locality (city or county) where your transit stop is located or the transit system you are using, or to search for a stop by name. In this example we will browse Arlington Transit (ART) routes, so we will choose Select by Locality.

4. Choose the transit system you are using. In this example we will select ART - Arlington Transit.

5. Select your route. We will select 51-52 - Balston-Virginia Hospital Ctr-East Falls Church in this example.

6. Select your direction of travel. Here we will choose to travel Westbound.

7. Select nearest station or stop. If your stop is not listed, select the listed stop that is closest to it. We will depart from Ballston-MU Metro in this example.

8. View the next 4 times at your location. Add a bookmark for this screen on your phone or PDA so you can return to it easily -- it will always show the upcoming buses or trains for your stop.

If you would like to view departures for a different time or day of the week, you can select the Change Day/Time link that displays on this screen (it is not visible on the portion of the screen shown here).
